Well, I was offered employment with Alpine Acess. I start training in about two weeks. So, hopefully, I really like it. Even if I don’t, I’m still excited because I’ll be working from home, earning a steady paycheck. I enjoy freelance writing, but, I don’t have steady clients yet, so my pay is up and down, which is ok, but I need something steady.
I’ll share in the coming weeks about how it’s going.
In other news: I’m 33 weeks pregnant, and I feel it!!! Baby girl is due Sept. 17th, and I’m so excited. Right now I’m in the midst of helping my mom and sister plan the shower, and I’m loving it. I have thought about party planning as a business, so this opportunity is giving me an idea of how much I would enjoy it. So far, I’m loving it. From choosing invitations, choosing location and decorations, I’m truly delighted. Well, I’ll write back tomorrow!

I discovered a new website, startupprincess.com, which I found very inspiring and informative. I love reading interviews and profiles of successful people, and this website has it. The website is geared toward women entrepreneurs and features profiles of various women and their businesses. I encourage readers to head over there and read about women who are making their mark. Most of the women work from home doing what they love.
To me, that’s what life is all about. Having a great family and earning an income from home doing something that you love. What could be better? I’m looking to dabble in something that I absolutely delight in, which is afternoon tea. I’m researching doing children’s tea parties. I think it would be so much fun. I love tea and etiquette, and working with young ladies, and it would be a good weekend business for extra money.
I’m currently planning a baby shower, and I want to see how much fun it will be to plan and host it. If it’s addicting, then it’s something that I may stick with.

I think my phone interview went well yesterday. The recruiter said that she would contact me in the next few days to let me know where I stand. I hope that I get it, of course, and that I like it. I think it could be a good opportunity, so I’m anxious to get started earning a steady income from home.
I recently heard of a website called, adprofit4u.com, in which you make money from reading emails. I have tried Inbox Dollars, and I just couldn’t stick with it, because you only earn about 5 cents/email, and it has taken me a loooong time to see any money that is worthwhile. I don’t have the patience or endurance to stick with it. Supposedly adprofit4u pays quite bit more. So, I’m going to check them out in the next few days and see if it’s something that is worthwhile.

I just want to encourage all work at home and stay at home mothers who are dedicated to raising their children. I have received a lot of flack from family members mainly for wanting to stay at home with my children. Because I attended a top university, they feel that I should be utilizing my degree for a high paying position. But, for now that would require me leaving my son in daycare for at least 8 hours while I satisfy them. Not a solution for me.
Many young women are discouraged from staying home with their children, citing the fact that they are wasting their talent and brain. I very much disagree!! It has required great intelligence on my part and talent to manage my time wisely and work efficiently as a writer and educator while my son is sleeping- early in the mornings, naptime, and after his bedtime. It has been hard work to secure work as a freelance writer, and I applaud any woman who chooses to look over the negativity that she is sure to face from others for choosing to stay at home.
There is nothing else that I would rather be doing with my life than raising my children and using my creativity and skills to earn an income from home around their schedules. Whoever doesn’t like it or doesn’t approve, well, I could just care less.

My phone interview with Alpineaccess.com is set up for this Wednesday, and I’m really excited about it. I hope that I get the job. It would ease so much financial pressure for me, without me having to worry about gas money or having someone watch my son and stuff like that. I’m thankful that I have helpful family nearby, so I would need someone to watch him if he wakes up during my shift. I’m going to set my schedule from 6a.m. -10 or 11. My son usually wakes up around 10 or 10:30, so that would work perfectly. But, in case he does wake up, I want someone to be there to get him when he does.
While working for Alpine Access, you have to have a 100% noise free environment while working, so I wouldn’t be able to tend to him when he wakes. I’ll probably just do 6-10 to be on the safe side. I can’t wait until Wednesday for my phone interview and to know what the results are. I’m excited, can you tell?

Last night I browsed through the recent issue of Romantic Homes, and I happily read an article about a young woman named Abby Kerr who owns The Blissful, a shop that is full of European style decor. She is a former English teacher, and I was excited, because I taught English for four years and she did too. She left the teaching professsion to open her shop, and it has been open since 2005.
I love reading about young, female entrepreneurs. If I’m not mistaken, I think she’s 30 years old. She said that she opened the shop when she was 27. You can check out her shop and blog at www.theblissful.com and http://boutiqueindustry.blogspot.com . Happy reading.

I’ve wanted to be a work from home mom since I was a little girl. I hated going to daycare, and I was so glad when my mom decided to quit her job and stay at home with us. I made a pledge to myself that when I had children I would stay at home with them, which is why I am so committed to earning money from home.
Because, I still have bills to pay. It’s so wise to not involve yourself in credit card debt if it’s not an emergency. Which, most times, people’s purchases are not emergencies, they are just wants that they want right now, even though they cannot afford it. If I could turn back the hands of time . . . but I can’t. All I can do is deal with where I am now. And, I have an infant and another on the way. I’m stubbornly and diligently working everyday to discover ways of earning money from home. So far, tutoring and writing have been my best bets. I’m looking to expand my options and have multiple streams of income from home.
Yes, it’s a sacrifice and hard work, but that comes with the territory when you decide to have children and you’re committed to raising them yourself. For those mothers who are doing the same, I applaud you. May your efforts be blessed.

The last post discussed alpineaccess.com, a company that employs people to work from home as customer service agents. There are other companies as well that do the same. Like, west.com and liveops.com. These are also legitimate companies that hire people to work from home as a customer service agent for their company. You’re able to set your own hours.
To get started with these companies, you have to fill out an application, and usually a computer/customer service skills test as well. It’s pretty straightforward. I’ve heard good things about working for companies like these, so I think that it’s worth a try. Especially for stay at home mothers who want to earn an income while they are putting their family first. Choose a block of time that you can work uninterruped. You would also need a headset and your computer has to fulfill certain standards. As long as you have that, you are pretty much good to go.
So, I encourage anyone who wants to work from home to try out these opportunities, and see how it works for you. Happy job searching!:)

Thanks to a kind and generous blog reader, I have learned of an opportunity as an agent with alpine access.com. It sounds like a great work at home opportunity. I checked it out, and it is a legitimate company that pays an hourly wage. If hired, you would be a customer service rep and work from home delivering customer service to their various clients. You choose the hours that work best for you.
Has anyone had any experience with this? It sounds like a great opportunity for someone who wants to work from home, and make sure they are paid too. You don’t work for commission or anything. You are guaranteed an hourly wage for the hours that you are assigned to work.
