If you’re serious about being a work at home mom read on

I heard about Site Build It months ago, and I thought that it would be a great opportunity to try, once I could save up enough money to start it.  There are many success stories.  You can go to http://wahm.sitesell.com to learn more about how you can get started.

A great resource is a guide for how you can become an online entrepreneur through using sitebuildit.  Go to this link to download your free copy of A Work-at-Home Mother’s Guide to Successfully Building a Real Business on the Net.  I have been reading through it so far, and it’s great.  It’s chockful of great information and real life stories of women who are working from home through using site build it to build their websites.  It’s not a get rich quick scheme, but something worth checking into.

Writing as Therapy

Published by sbelle under work from home Edit This

I went to Borders tonight, and I looked through some books and magazines.  Going to bookstores or the library invigorates me, somehow.  I love books, I love reading, and being surrounded by good books just excite me.

In one of the magazines, a woman talked about writing, and how writing helped her to make sense of her world, her problems, just whatever was going on in her life.  And, I realized, that it does the same for me.  I write down my most personal thoughts in a journal, and afterwards I feel refreshed.  I have greater clarity after I write.

I’m realizing more and more that writing is more than a way to earn money from home, it’s one of my purposes in life.  And, I plan on pursuing writing in a more vigorous way this year.

Mturk.com

I have been working on Mturk.com today, and I actually enjoyed working on the hits.  You can make a nice bit of change if you have the time to perform the hits.  If you are unfamiliar with mturk.com, please go to their website, and sign up to begin.  It’s an easy sign up process.

I think it’s a great way to earn some extra money.  Has anyone had much success with mturks.com?  Today was my first day working on it, and I think that I’m going to stick with it.  It’s a simple and straightforward process, and you can learn some interesting things while you’re completing hits.

Let me know, do you like Mturk, and have you had much success with it?

Myincomespot.com

Published by sbelle under Uncategorized Edit This

A commenter yesterday has a website, www.myincomespot.com, that is filled with great ways to earn money from home.  He lists websites that pay for writing, paid survey opportunities, ways to increase your earning potential through blogging, and more.  I perused the site yesterday, and discovered new opportunities that I am going to try for, as far as writing online.

So far I’m enjoying contentcurrent.  I’ve only been posting on forums after the kids are asleep.  I’m working on my article submission to write articles for them.  Hopefully I will get approved, because it can provide good income.

Bright Hub is alright, but they have only a certain number of articles that you can write a month, and right now, it’s around 5 articles a month.  I was informed that the quota changes from month to month.  Hmmm.  We’ll see.

Freelance Writing With No Time Management= Not Much Work Done.

Right now I’m typing with my 4 month old in my lap.  This time is usually her naptime, but she refuses to go to sleep right now.  I didn’t wake up early to try to get work done, so I’m trying to catch up during my son’s naptime, which is her naptime too.

But, not today.  She’s getting fussy, and I’ve been holding her for the past hour or so, and she is showing no signs of going to sleep.

It’s so important for me to wake up early in the mornings before the kids do to blog and write, or else I feel frustrated throughout the day, because I try to fit it in throughout naptimes and downtimes.  It never goes the way I plan, though.  Like right now.

Oh, well.  I’m trying to think of something related to working from home to share, but my mind is drawing a blank right now.  Well, this is part of working from home; dealing with children who wil not let you get work done.  And, why you should try to work when they are asleep.  Scheduling and time management is soooo important!!

Content Current is another online money maker

Content Current is another way to earn money online.  Formerly forumbooster.net, contentcurrent.com pays people to post on forums, and to write articles.  The typical article pays around $6.  Posting on forums is 10 cents.  They pay every week, as long as you earn at least $10.

I’ve just started today, and I’ll see how much I can earn in my spare time.  It seems like a great opportunity.  Someone wrote that they had made around 100/week posting to forums for this site.  With dedication, I’m sure you could make that or more, depending on how much time you have to devote to it.  Has anyone had any success with forumbooster.net/contentcurrent.com?  Please share your experience.

Bright Hub Writer!!!

Published by sbelle under work from home Edit This

I’m so excited that I was accepted to be a Bright Hub writer.  I look forward to adding another writing opportunity to my portfolio and increase the avenues in which I earn money online.  I am so happy!!  When I logged in, the site said that they are updating and will be back around January 7th.  I can’t wait to get started writing articles for them.

For those of you who have written or are writing for Bright Hub, how have you enjoyed your experience?  I hear that it can be difficult to get articles approved.  Have you made a good bit of money by writing for them?  I would love for any Bright Hub writers to share their experience.

Passionately Seeking Your Purpose

Published by sbelle under Uncategorized Edit This

Today at church the minister talked about the importance of figuring out what your purpose is, and following through with it.  As Christians, we should live exciting lives, because we are excited about living out our purpose.  Instead, many people live with dread and resentment in their hearts over going to a job that they hate everyday.  We’re called to do more than just make a living.  We are to live life on purpose, and do what we are called to do.

What are your strengths?  What makes you excited and full of life?  Consider how you can incorporate doing that into your daily life.  Life is too short to live it unhappily, and with no true purpose.  Even if you are a blogger or freelance writer, think about the subjects that you are passionate about and write about that.  There are various ways that we can inject our passions into our daily lives, and create a life for ourselves that’s truly worth living.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

All The Way Home

A great book that I discovered this past summer, was “All The Way Home” by Mary Pride.  I really enjoyed reading this book.  It provided great encouragement to me as a mother, wife, and homemaker.  Mary Pride has another book, published before this one, called “The Way Home.”  I haven’t read that one yet, but I’m sure that it’s good too.

One of my favorite parts of the book is her section on figuring out how to earn money from home.  She says that when you do the little things faithfully and well, that your calling emerges.  She encourages women to ask themselves three questions, 1. What do you like to do best? 2.  What are you best at?  and 3. What bothers you the most?  Answering these three questions will help you discover your calling.

Check out your local library or bookstore so you can read a copy of the book.  It’s a great read.
